The Safe AI Vulnerability Manager is responsible for activities within the VMO2 Attack Surface Reduction Process. The purpose of the process is to ensure security issues in the organisation are identified, understood and reduced, so that security exposure is minimised and risk is proactively managed. Working as part of the Attack Surface Reduction Team, the purpose of the role is to ensure all opportunities to reduce the attack surface are closed within a timely manner, and security risk is known and ultimately reduced.
Safe AI is the initiative within VMO2 to protect the business from the threats associated with the use and propagation of AI, whilst allowing the business to continue with unlocking value from its use. The Safe AI Vulnerability Manager will have a focus on vulnerabilities and weaknesses which create exposure to AI related threats. The role involves running, improving the processes, and governing remediation through close partnership working with stakeholders and systems owners around the business and reporting to senior stakeholders on a regular basis.
