This role sits at the heart of how we manage customer credit at Virgin Media O2, with a clear focus on strong customer outcomes, effective controls and regulatory confidence. As Risk and Operational Control Manager for Credit Risk, you will provide oversight of our end‐to‐end credit proposition, ensuring it operates safely, compliantly and in line with Consumer Duty expectations while supporting a seamless customer experience.
You will work across Credit Risk, Operations, Technology, Finance and our supplier network to identify and manage operational and conduct risks, using insight and data to drive continuous improvement. The role combines governance, control design and leadership, with responsibility for strengthening risk frameworks, supporting supplier performance and leading an in‐house underwriting team. It offers broad visibility, influence and the opportunity to shape how credit risk is managed across the business.
Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
- Experience in operational risk, credit risk, conduct or compliance within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of customer outcomes and regulatory frameworks such as Consumer Duty
- Proven ability to design, embed and manage risk and control frameworks
- Confidence using management information and data to inform decisions and governance
- Experience working across multiple teams and with third‐party suppliers
Desirable Qualifications (Nice To Haves)
- Experience leading or developing underwriting or operational teams
- Exposure to credit operations across multiple customer channels
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory assurance activity
- Background in supplier performance or cost optimisation
- Strong stakeholder management at senior level
