We have a great opportunity for an Internal Controls Manager (ICFR) to join our Accounting, Reporting & Control (ARC) team performing a high profile role that sits at the heart of Virgin Media O2's financial reporting and control environment. As Internal Controls Manager (ICFR), you will play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of our reporting framework, ensuring robust controls are in place and supporting compliance across a complex and evolving business.
You will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Audit and Governance to strengthen internal controls, manage risk assessments, support major transformation projects and drive meaningful improvements in processes and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity to build a broad network, gain deep business insight and influence how control and reporting frameworks evolve across VMO2.
The must haves:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Experience of SOx and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR)
- Experience assessing financial reporting risks and control frameworks
- Experience working with internal and external auditors
The other stuff we are looking for:
- Practice-trained accounting background
- Experience supporting system migrations or major finance transformation projects
- Exposure to IT General Controls (ITGCs)
- Experience working with external auditors and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience driving process simplification and continuous improvement initiatives
