We have a great new role for a Core Voice Signalling Designer to join our Signalling Design team. You will help design and steer designs for signalling-related projects, directing project teams to ensure optimal delivery outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping and steering design across core voice network platforms. Reporting into the Subscriber Management and Signalling Engineering Manager, you will act as a trusted design authority within project teams to ensure solutions are robust, scalable and customer focused. In this role, you will work across a broad range of signalling technologies, contributing to both legacy and next generation network evolution. You will lead on design requirements, influence vendor outcomes, and support automated testing initiatives, all while ensuring designs meet performance, security and capacity needs across the network. You will be tasked with producing high and low level technical design documentation.
We are ideally looking for a candidate experienced in the design and configuration of Ericsson IP‑STP and DSC signalling products.
Must Haves- Ericsson IP STP design and configuration experience
- Ericsson DSC design and configuration experience
- Experience producing high and low level technical design documentation
- Strong working knowledge of Ericsson command structures and documentation
- Experience across cellular networks including 2G, 3G, 4G and IMS
- Proven expertise in signalling protocols such as SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, Diameter and MAP
- Knowledge of capacity modelling and network performance considerations
- Exposure to vendor engagement, including SOR and SOW reviews
- Experience contributing to automated testing approaches within telecoms environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
