As an Environment Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering Virgin Media O2’s environmental and sustainability ambitions. Sitting within Corporate Affairs, you’ll ensure the business can confidently measure, monitor and report on its environmental impact, using data to drive meaningful action and progress against our Responsible Business Plan.
In this role, you’ll lead on environmental data and reporting, supporting critical initiatives such as Scope 3 decarbonisation and external disclosures. You’ll work across the organisation and with external partners to strengthen our approach to nature, biodiversity and environmental management systems, including ISO14001. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to wider sustainability programmes, helping to embed best practice and deliver tangible outcomes that support our journey to net zero. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of attending our Paddington office once a week.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong data management skills with knowledge of the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Protocol and SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) in a corporate context
- Experience using environmental software solutions to support measurement and reporting
- Proven ability to use data to drive accountability, action and impact
- Ability to plan, manage and prioritise multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Commitment to developing environmental expertise in line with the IEMA pathway
- Experience with nature and biodiversity assessments
- Environmental auditing experience
- Progression on or completion of the IEMA pathway
- Understanding of telecommunications or technology sector impacts and risks
- Experience managing external partners and budgets
