We’re looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join us in Kings Cross (London) or Leeds. This role is ideally suited to newly qualified accountants who want to move from practice to industry and offers a potential gateway within the Liberty Global group of companies.
Location: King’s Cross, London or Leeds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of scheduled internal audits, independently assessing:
- Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information
- Adequacy of, and compliance with, policies, plans, standards, laws and regulations that could have a significant impact upon operations
- Efficiency in accomplishment of objectives and goals established for the company and projects
- Effectiveness and efficiency in the use of resources
- Internal control and process design
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professionally qualified Accountant with at least a year of experience in a Big4 or similar audit environment
- Motivated, hardworking and driven, capable of mentoring junior team members
- Comfortable owning the planning and fieldwork components of audits, with guidance when needed
- Good understanding of risk and controls, able to translate this into appropriate audit programs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; experience working with senior partners across multiple regions
- Results-oriented and able to learn about all parts of the business
