Emerging CFO Program

Shape the Future of Finance Leadership. At Liberty Global, we don’t just recruit leadership – we build it. The Emerging CFO Program is our flagship, high-impact leadership development programme, designed to cultivate the next generation of finance leaders across the Liberty Global family. Delivered in partnership with Imperial College London, this prestigious nine-month programme (October 2026 – July 2027) combines world-class academic insight with the real-world complexity of our global business.

Participants will develop advanced capability across leadership, strategy, CFO transformation and AI in finance through a carefully curated blend of virtual learning sessions, executive coaching, live Liberty Global case studies, and in-person bootcamps at Imperial’s London campus. On completion, participants will receive Imperial College accreditation.

Eligibility & Qualifications

The program is open to Level 6 and 7 leaders globally across Finance, M&A and Strategy. It offers a unique opportunity for individuals already demonstrating strong performance and leadership potential, ready to equip themselves with the skills to step into broader, more complex roles in the future.

How to Apply

To be considered for the Emerging CFO Program, you’ll need to complete a short online application outlining your professional and academic background. As part of your application you’ll be asked to bring your story to life through the following:

  • A written reflection (max 500 words) sharing a defining experience that has shaped your values, perspective and career journey.
  • A short video pitch (max 90 seconds, max 5MB) telling us why you’re the right candidate for the programme.

You will also need to secure endorsement from your Senior Functional Leader, who must confirm that they are aware of and support your application.

What Happens Next

Once submitted, applications will be reviewed by the Finance Talent Business Partner. Selected candidates will then be invited to a screening call to explore their application in more detail. Interviews will commence during the application window; outcomes and feedback will be shared in July.
