We’re looking for an Affinity Lead to join us in our Kings Cross office. To drive the growth of Liberty Blume’s Affinity and Embedded Insurance business through the identification, development, launch and management of insurance programmes across Liberty Global operating companies, portfolio businesses and third‑party clients. The role will be responsible for building new revenue‑generating opportunities, managing existing insurance programmes and supporting the development of innovative insurance propositions that enhance customer value, improve retention and create sustainable commercial returns. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, leading the development of insurance solutions from concept through to implementation whilst ensuring strong commercial performance, operational excellence and customer outcomes.

What will you be doing?

  • Business Development & Growth
    • Identify, originate and develop new affinity and embedded insurance opportunities across Liberty Global operating companies, portfolio businesses and external clients.
    • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
    • Develop compelling business cases and commercial models to support programme launches.
    • Support the achievement of revenue, profitability and growth targets.
  • Programme Development & Implementation
    • Lead the design, development and launch of affinity and embedded insurance programmes.
    • Develop propositions across product lines including Device, EW, Home, Travel and Emerging embedded insurance products.
    • Manage programme delivery from concept through to implementation and go‑live.
    • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
    • Support proposition development, customer journeys, pricing and distribution strategies.
  • Programme Management & Performance
    • Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned programmes and strategic partners.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with operating companies, insurers and service providers.
    • Monitor programme performance, profitability, customer outcomes and growth opportunities.
    • Drive programme optimisation initiatives to improve customer experience, penetration and financial performance.
  • Insurance, Risk & Captive Support
    • Work closely with insurers, reinsurers and risk partners to optimise programme structures and economics.
    • Identify opportunities for captive participation and alternative risk financing structures where appropriate.
    • Maintain awareness of captive insurance management, governance requirements and reinsurance structures.
  • Partner & Supplier Management
    • Manage relationships with insurers, reinsurers, TPAs, technology providers and other strategic partners.
    • Support procurement and contract negotiation activities.
    • Ensure supplier performance aligns with commercial and customer objectives.
  • Strategy, Innovation & Analytics
    • Support the development and execution of Liberty Blume’s affinity insurance strategy.
    • Evaluate new insurance products, distribution models and technology solutions.
    • Leverage data, analytics and AI‑driven insights to support business growth and programme optimisation.
    • Promote innovation across customer experience, distribution and insurance operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience within affinity, embedded, consumer or distribution‑led insurance environments.
  • Proven track record of developing, launching and scaling insurance programmes.
  • Experience working with insurers, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs, TPAs and technology providers.
  • Awareness of captive insurance structures, governance frameworks, reinsurance arrangements and alternative risk financing solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience developing business cases, negotiating commercial agreements and delivering revenue growth.
  • Experience operating within executive and leadership‑level environments, with the ability to influence strategic decision making.
  • Experience analysing portfolio performance, claims trends, customer behaviour and financial results.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to drive business change across complex organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience using Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools to support strategic decision making.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Understanding of digital insurance platforms, embedded insurance technologies and ecosystem partnerships.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within telecommunications, retail, consumer technology, financial services or insurance sectors.
  • Experience operating within a multinational matrix organisation.
  • Experience of management consulting, business transformation or corporate strategy.
  • Experience working with captive insurance companies, quota‑share structures or reinsurance programmes.
  • Experience of AI, automation and advanced analytics to develop insurance business lines and improve operational performance.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Insurance qualification (ACII, Cert CII or equivalent) desirable.
  • Master’s degree desirable.
