We’re looking for a Technical Training Manager to join our team in Leeds City Centre. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with two days in the office and three days working remotely. Sitting within the CTO Office and partnering closely with the People team, the Learning & Development Lead will shape how our organisation adopts and uses AI. As AI tools and AI-enabled products are introduced across the business, this role is responsible for designing and delivering the training, enablement, and change programmes that help colleagues build confidence and integrate these new capabilities into their day-to-day work.

This is a hands‑on senior individual contributor role, acting as the bridge between the technical teams developing and implementing AI solutions and the people who use them. You will lead learning initiatives end‑to‑end, from identifying capability gaps and designing engaging learning experiences through to delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement. Success in this role will be defined by meaningful adoption, increased capability, and tangible business impact, rather than simply the volume of training delivered.

What will you be doing?

  • Design and deliver AI training programmes and learning resources tailored to different audiences and skill levels.
  • Create practical enablement experiences, including workshops, hands‑on labs, office hours and self‑service learning content.
  • Develop prompt engineering guidance, best‑practice materials and role‑based use cases that drive meaningful adoption.
  • Embed responsible AI, security and data governance principles into all training and enablement activities.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to support AI tool rollouts, adoption and change initiatives.
  • Build scalable enablement frameworks, including rollout playbooks and champion networks.
  • Gather user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and influence future AI capabilities.
  • Own the AI capability roadmap, identifying skills gaps and delivering targeted development initiatives.
  • Support wider learning and development programmes as required.
  • Track adoption, capability and business impact metrics, using insights to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers and technology partners to enhance capability development.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering learning, enablement or technical training programmes within a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Hands‑on experience driving the adoption of AI tools and technologies, with a strong understanding of the factors that enable successful uptake and change.
  • Strong knowledge of modern AI solutions, with the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, practical learning for non‑technical audiences.
  • Excellent training design, facilitation and presentation skills across both virtual and face‑to‑face environments.
  • Ability to build credible relationships and collaborate effectively with technology, product and senior leadership teams.
  • Data‑driven approach to learning, with experience measuring adoption, capability growth and business impact.

Desirable Experience:

  • Supporting large‑scale technology adoption or organisational change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build and develop champion networks, super‑user communities or communities of practice.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, information security or compliance‑focused training.
  • Experience using learning management systems (LMS), learning analytics and digital content creation tools.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days annual leave + buy 5 days
  • Access to wellbeing and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance, plus many more.
  • Matched pension contribution up to 10%
  • Life assurance & income protection
  • Exclusive Virgin Media O2 products, employee discounts and cashback offers on thousands of brands
  • Access to electric car scheme
  • 24 hours paid volunteering leave
