We’re looking for a Director, Origination (Speciality Finance) to join us in London. Liberty Blume Speciality Finance (LBSF) offers a varied product range; from core products including Supply Chain Finance and Securitisation to products in development/close to release including but not limited to inventory finance, portfolio receivables financing, prepayment/trade advance, leasing, and asset as a service. LBSF generally targets sub-investment grade rated companies (although its solutions are also applicable to investment grade organisations) to provide the aforementioned solutions.
Today its client base is mostly focused around telecoms; however, LBSF is making inroads with adjacent industries. In order to drive business growth, LBSF seeks an individual with proven origination capabilities and pre-existing relationships, to source/identify appropriate opportunities, participate in execution of deals, and oversee these client relationships.
- Originate discussions and drive forward partnership development by making contact with relevant players in the industry from (a) your personal network; (b) companies known to LBSF and Liberty Global; (c) reverse inquiries.
- Act as key point of contact for these organisations, representing LBSF with the aim to drive forward the growth agenda.
- Provide meaningful insight into potential client requirements and desired solutions (and driving the development of any new product solutions, if applicable).
- Pitch solutions to clients, and navigate specific requirements or requests to be able to provide a tailored product that would suit their needs.
- Oversee the sales process from management of initial meetings to supporting structuring conversations and the closure of transactions.
- Provision of market intelligence as it relates to (a) working capital financing solutions; (b) companies that may be suitable for working capital financing solutions (whether they are actively seeking solutions or not); (c) structural or strategic changes at working capital solution providers resulting in the potential availability or acquisition of clients or a client portfolio.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Relevant experience in Structured Finance, Corporate Finance, Transactional Banking.
- Relevant experience in working capital financing related sales.
- Existing client portfolio required (including a number of potentially suitable target clients).
- Knowledge of working capital market intelligence required.
- Prior experience with inventory financing would be a plus.

- Experience in communication with potential clients (internal/external) and partners.
- Ability to evaluate client needs and source relevant opportunities.
- Facilitate introductions and oversee discussions from initial meetings through to the sales process and deal closure.
