We’re looking for a Case Specialist to join our team in Bradford on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with two days in the office and three days working remotely each week.
As a Case Specialist, reporting into the Employee Relation Team Lead, this role plays a critical part in delivering a high‐quality, consistent Employee Relations (ER) service across the business. You will provide practical, confident ER advice, support and coaching to line managers across the full employee lifecycle, handling cases end to end and ensuring decisions are commercially sound, legally compliant and aligned to our risk appetite.
Working as part of a small, specialist Employee Relations team, you will support Liberty Blume operations, collaborating directly with People Business Partners, line managers and key partners. You will take ownership of a varied ER caseload, contribute to continuous improvement of ER processes and policies, and use insight and data to help shape proactive, effective people solutions.
- Handle a varied Employee Relations caseload, providing proactive, pragmatic advice to line managers on matters such as absence, performance and conduct.
- Partner closely with People Business Partners to deliver timely, accurate and commercially focused ER guidance.
- Review and run complex ER cases, assessing risk and raising high‐risk matters to senior stakeholders as appropriate.
- Support and attend employee and management meetings when required.
- Advise line managers on ER processes, policies and employment law risk, contributing to the development of people policies and manager support tools.
- Collaborate with wider business stakeholders on ad hoc people initiatives and projects.
- Analyse ER data and trends to provide insight, reporting and recommendations.
- Build solid relationships with key stakeholders across the people team and wider business.
- Maintain accurate case documentation, trackers and reports, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Design and deliver ER and line manager skills training to support capability building.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the ER service based on internal customer needs.
We tend to look for people with:
- Essential: Demonstrable experience in an Employee Relations–focused HR or generalist role within a fast‐paced, customer‐focused commercial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation, its application and best practice.
- Broad understanding of the end‐to‐end employee lifecycle.
- Proven ability to manage ER cases with a proactive, commercially informed and risk‐based approach.
- Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting data, trends and insights to inform decisions.
- Experience working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, building trusted relationships and resolving issues collaboratively.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and advise at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across cultural boundaries.
- Highly organised, self‐motivated and resilient, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and deal effectively with ambiguity.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Desirable: Degree‐educated.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards).
