We’re looking for an experienced Senior Solicitor who thrives on leading people, driving performance, and delivering high‑quality legal outcomes. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead our Claimant recoveries function, ensuring excellence across delivery and team performance while managing a caseload of your own.
You’ll handle litigated matters up to multi‑track level, supported by advanced legal technology and the expertise of our Director of Legal Operations and wider Legal Ops team. If you’re passionate about developing people, refining legal processes, and influencing business strategy, this role offers the perfect platform to make a real impact.
You’ll collaborate with a talented team of solicitors and paralegals across network damage, debt recovery, and commercial litigation, while also contributing directly to revenue generation by identifying opportunities to add value for clients and group companies. Strong stakeholder relationships, proactive performance leadership, and strategic thinking will all be key to your success.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team of solicitors and paralegals delivering exceptional Claimant recovery work.
- Drive team performance, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.
- Manage your own caseload of litigated files, including complex matters progressing to multi‑track.
- Produce clear, insightful reporting for internal and external stakeholders using Power BI, PowerPoint and other tools.
- Enhance legal processes, templates and documentation to support continuous improvement.
- Provide expert recommendations to optimise client processes, improve efficiency and embed best practice.
- Build strong relationships by attending and contributing to key stakeholder and partner meetings.
- Support and mentor colleagues, offering constructive feedback, coaching and supervised training.
- Stay ahead of industry and legal developments, applying new insights to strengthen operations.
- Identify growth opportunities, helping shape the wider legal operations strategy and driving business expansion.
We tend to look for people with:
- Essential: Qualified Solicitor or CILEx with Litigation Practice Rights, with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE.
- At least 2 years’ experience in people management or team leadership.
- Strong litigation background with solid working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), including multi‑track matters.
- Demonstrates commitment to staying current with legal developments, industry trends, and best practice.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and high‑quality service delivery.
- Desirable: Experience within the telecommunications or wider utilities sector.
- Proven business development experience or a strong commercial mindset.
- Interest in, or experience with, legal technology and innovation.
