Integrity & Assurance Associate (Data Rights) – Bradford. Hybrid role (two days per week in the office). 6-month fixed-term contract.

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage Data Subject Rights Requests (DSRs) across the business. You will help ensure requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with UK GDPR, GDPR, and wider data protection legislation. You will collaborate with Legal, IT, Information Security, and other stakeholders to safeguard personal data, maintain compliance standards, and contribute to responsible data governance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end process for Data Rights requests, including intake, identity verification, information gathering, review, redaction, and response delivery within required timeframes.
  • Ensure all requests are handled in line with applicable data protection legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, Information Security, and business stakeholders to gather information and provide accurate, complete responses.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Data Rights processes, documentation, templates, and workflows, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and automation.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate complex or high-risk requests where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of Data Rights activities, helping to track trends, service levels, and compliance performance.
  • Contribute to awareness initiatives and training programmes that promote understanding of Data Rights and data privacy responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in GDPR and wider data protection regulations to support broader privacy and compliance activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to develop new skills, supporting additional assurance and compliance workstreams as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

  • Essential
    • Experience processing Data Subject Rights Requests (DSRs) with a strong understanding of GDPR, UK GDPR, and data subject rights.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care and accuracy.
    • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams.
    • A proactive approach and a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality, integrity, and compliance.
  • Desirable
    • Experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, legal, or assurance environments.
    • Familiarity with privacy and redaction tools such as Smartbox or similar platforms.
    • Knowledge of broader data protection regulations, privacy best practices, and emerging industry developments.
    • Collaborative and adaptable mindset with willingness to learn and support wider team objectives.
    • Experience improving processes, driving efficiencies, or supporting automation initiatives.
