The food and beverage management team orchestrates the magic of the guest dining experience by leading a team of passionate individuals. Our goal is to create an ambience where locals and visitors feel at home, and we always have something up our sleeve to impress. The Supervisor is committed to being present on the floor during service; directly impacting the guest and staff experience.
Eve is our authentic Italian restaurant offering all day dining with home cooked favourites as well as our signature dishes such as carbonara. We host a range of events from pasta making masterclasses to cheese & wine evenings as well as a variety of other events throughout the year. At Eve no two days are the same and you will be expected to drive the team with your positive and energertic approach.

What exactly you will be doing…
Managing Service Operations and Departmental Budgets
- Lead and support the team on the restaurant floor, ensuring efficiency, consistency and excellent guest experiences.
- Support the In-Room Dining evening service, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Ensure consistency in the setup of the restaurant, including table arrangements, service flow and ambience.
- Work closely with other departments to address guest requests, feedback, and special requirements.
- Support efforts to improve guest feedback metrics and overall satisfaction.
- Support cost control measures by minimising waste and encouraging smart upselling techniques.
- Support the management team with payroll tracking and labour cost management.
- Monitor and manage cost control measures to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations, leading by example and reinforcing best practices.
- Conduct daily checks to ensure the restaurant is well-prepared and meets operational standards.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and well-maintained, logging any maintenance issues on Alice as required.
Guest Satisfaction & Brand Standards
- Ensure all guests receive a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience.
- Actively engage with guests to enhance their experience and encourage return visits.
- Handle guest feedback on shift and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
- Uphold Virgin Hotels’ brand standards, ensuring a consistently high level of service and presentation.
Team Leadership, Development & Management
- Assist in training and mentoring teammates, supporting the management team to create a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to align the team on service expectations and daily priorities.
- Lead by example during service, providing guidance and motivation to the team.
- Celebrate successes and publicly recognise the contributions of team members.
- Provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviours.
- Supports the management team in ensuring all Company policies and procedures are followed.
- Encourage your team to emulate the Virgin Culture & Values by role modelling these daily.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Head Waiter, or Senior Server in a hospitality setting.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Knowledge of breakfast service operations, in-room dining, and room amenities.
- Understanding of Health & Safety compliance and food hygiene regulations.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
