General Accountabilities:

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Head Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch. You’ll play a key role in creating memorable breakfast experiences for our guests, bringing great food, personality and exceptional service to everything you do.

As a Head Breakfast Chef, you’ll lead by example, inspire your team and help us deliver the high standards and unique experience our guests expect from Virgin Hotels.

As a Head Breakfast Chef, your main duties and expectations will include:

• Take ownership of the overall breakfast operation, ensuring a smooth, well-organised and consistently high-quality mise-en-place and service.
• Lead and support the breakfast team, ensuring all dishes are prepared and cooked to the required standards, following recipe specifications and Virgin Hotels’ quality expectations.
• Regularly spot-check food quality, presentation and consistency, taking guest feedback into consideration and acting on opportunities to improve.
• Take ownership of menu changes and new dishes, working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth implementation in line with the menu calendar.
• Create a positive and collaborative kitchen environment, encouraging clear communication and teamwork throughout every service.
• Ensure clear and effective handovers between shifts, leaving colleagues with all the information they need to deliver a successful service.
• Proactively research new and exciting breakfast dishes, trends and ideas that will enhance the guest experience, presenting new concepts and dishes on a monthly basis.
• Bring energy, creativity and personality to the kitchen, helping to create the fun, vibrant and distinctive atmosphere that makes Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch unique.

Background must-have:

• Current Right to Work in the UK
• Experience in an 4/5 star or high profile events environment
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Maintain positive and productive work
• Maintain a sense of organization and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
