Love good food, great people, and a lively atmosphere? We’re looking for friendly, hardworking servers to join our modern Scottish Brasserie, Commons Club.

No two days are ever the same here — our space hosts a variety of events, parties, and hotel guests, making every shift exciting and unique. If you bring a positive attitude and enjoy keeping busy in a dynamic setting, you’ll fit right in!

The Details:

What exactly you will be doing…

  • Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge
  • Take and deliver food and beverage orders
  • Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitising tables, etc.
  • Clear tables, carry plates to the dishwashing area
  • The Server must execute fabulous guest service
  • Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
  • Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at the time of delivery to guests
  • Be a team player!

Must-haves:

  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom
  • Ability to work on-site at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh for every shift.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including on the weekends and holidays.
