We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Product Owner - .com to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical strategy and execution for Virgin Atlantic’s .com digital platforms supporting both flights and holidays experiences.
You will ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions on virginatlantic.com. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will balance the needs of technical architecture and system integration with a user-centric design focus to deliver seamless customer experiences. You will act as a bridge between technical development and business goals, owning the platform roadmap, enabling technologies, and system integrations.
This includes leading initiatives to ensure digital platforms are well-designed, reliable, and aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Your work will drive the technical enablement of customer-facing experiences, covering infrastructure, backend systems, and their connection to front-end customer journeys.
Day to day
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
•Define and manage the platform roadmap, aligning it with the organisation’s business objectives for flights and holidays experiences.
•Ensure robust technical architecture and infrastructure to support evolving digital products and services.
•Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, high-performing systems.
•Lead technical integration efforts to unify backend systems with front-end customer experiences.
•Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
•Manage and prioritise a backlog of technical and functional requirements to maximise customer and business value.
•Ensure the seamless integration of systems, APIs, and platforms for optimal performance.
•Balance long-term technical goals with short-term business needs, ensuring iterative progress.
•Establish KPIs to measure the success and performance of technical platforms and projects.
•Generate regular reports to communicate progress, issues, and successes to stakeholders.
•Work with delivery teams to ensure timely releases with a focus on quality and stability.
•Champion agile best practices in development, delivery, and team collaboration.
•Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
•Facilitate communication to ensure alignment on product goals, timelines, and deliverables.
•Translate technical complexities into business-friendly language for stakeholders.
•Build strong relationships across Digital, Engineering, and Operations teams to drive results.

•Proficient in APIs, microservices, and other modern system design principles.
•Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
•Experience in reporting and metrics to track and measure digital performance.
