The Solution Architect will be accountable for the successful delivery of complex solution architectures as well as helping drive them toward the enterprise technology strategy and the roadmap. They will work closely with the Enterprise domain architects to ensure business outcomes are achieved, as well as feeding back into the overall Enterprise Architecture to ensure progress towards the target state.
Day to day
- Leading and developing Complex Solution Designs in line with domain and enterprise architectures
- Providing direction for third party technical architects and development resource
- Technical Capability Assessment – Reviewing existing technical capabilities, promoting reuse, or identifying new capabilities
- Technical Requirements Engineering - Ensuring all non-functionals are considered
- Procurement Support – Contributing to the selection of fit for purpose solutions
- Contribute to Technical Architectures to ensure feedback from implemented architectures
- Contribute to the development of Technical Strategies and Reference Architectures
- Manage Total Risk and Cost across the IT Estate
About you
- Previous experience working in architecture roles (e.g. Solution, Domain or Enterprise).
- Knowledge of modern architectures, utilizing cloud capabilities and loosely coupled architectures.
- Knowledge of implementing SaaS and Cloud native solutions
- Travel or Airline knowledge useful but not essential
