We are seeking Project Managers with a proven track record in delivering technology solutions to join our Technology Transformation team.
Day to day
- Collaborate with Business Stakeholders to develop and review Business Cases, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives and strategic goals.
- High-Level Planning: Develop high-level plans outlining project scope and strategic alignment, and create detailed Project Plans in Microsoft Project (MSP), identifying critical paths and milestones.
- Effective Project Delivery: Lead projects with clarity and inspiration, setting performance expectations, and ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Team Coordination: Ensure all relevant teams and individuals are involved, briefed, and understand their roles and delivery timelines.
- Methodology Adherence: Follow the VA Project Management methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within tolerance levels.
- RAID Management: Effectively manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies, working with stakeholders on resolutions and mitigation plans.
About you
You should have a background in engineering Project Management, such as Automotive or Aviation sectors.
Possess a Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP, PMP). Demonstrable experience delivering complex integrated IT solutions, especially those involving legacy system integration with modern technologies via SOA/APIs, is preferred.
Additional desirable qualities include:
- Understanding of airline industry processes and technologies (advantageous but not essential).
- Technical expertise in delivering technical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills to design and optimize solutions.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, external partners, and offshore teams.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional skills in MSP, financial management, and resource planning.
A Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
