Location: Hybrid working, 3 days a week at our VHQ in Crawley
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent and a 12 month Secondment/FTC

In a nutshell
This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial health of Virgin Atlantic’s Working Capital. You’ll focus on ensuring balance sheet accounts are accurate, understood and well controlled, helping the business move quickly while staying on top of risk. Working closely with colleagues across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cashbook and Accounting, you’ll help transactions move smoothly through the end-to-end process and reduce avoidable rework. It’s a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail, spotting issues early and making things better.
Day to day
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for Working Capital accounts.
- Investigate reconciling items and identify underlying causes.
- Support audit and control activity with clear documentation.
- Work with AP, AR and Cashbook to resolve transactional issues.
- Support IATA and Virtual Credit Card processes.
About you
- Part-qualified accountant or actively studying towards ACCA / CIMA.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet control and accounting fundamentals.
- Experience working in a Working Capital or finance operations environment.
- Ability to investigate issues and clearly identify root causes.
- High attention to detail with a strong control mindset.
