As a Planner Operations AOG, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our fleet moving. You’ll optimise spares support to minimise aircraft delays and deferred defects, ensuring we meet service level agreements while maximising cost efficiency across the Virgin Atlantic fleet. This is a fast-paced, operational role providing 24/7, 365-day materials support worldwide, helping recover AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations quickly and effectively.
Day to day:
- Providing round-the-clock materials operational support for the Virgin Atlantic fleet worldwide.
- Managing AOG recovery procedures, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Coordinating and authorising loan, sale, borrow, and exchange of spares with other operators.
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC and local customs regulations for international spares movements.
- Reviewing post-AOG events to improve inventory levels and prevent recurrence.
- Supporting third-party maintenance activities, particularly outside standard hours.
- Monitoring and authorising spares replenishment and procurement.
- Managing inventory to avoid overstocking or stock shortages, ensuring optimal efficiency.
