We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our Talent Acquisition Department
The Talent Acquisition Assistant is responsible for managing and supporting the recruitment lifecycle from advertising roles to onboarding successful candidates.
The Role
- Support VA’s recruitment process, from posting job ads to issuing offers and contracts.
- Be the friendly first point of contact for candidates, and Hiring managers
- Handle day-to-day recruitment queries with a helpful and proactive approach.
- Provide administrative support across the recruitment process, including managing our Applicant Tracking System.
- Keep job advertising platforms (e.g. Glassdoor, Indeed, Leisure Jobs) up to date and respond to reviews in line with our employer brand.
- Prepare and send contracts of employment accurately and promptly.
- Ensure compliance by collecting and checking Right to Work documentation, references, and DBS checks for all successful candidates.
Experience
- Previous experience in an admin, HR, or recruitment support role is a plus—but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a friendly and professional manner.
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and working to deadlines.
