We are looking for a Pricing & Promotions Manager to join our Commercial Team.

The Pricing & Promotions Manager is responsible for developing and delivering Virgin Active's pricing and promotional strategy across the UK business.

Working closely with the Commercial Director and key stakeholders, you will use commercial insight, data and strategic thinking to optimise pricing, drive membership growth and maximise revenue, ensuring every promotion delivers measurable value for both our members and the business.

The Role

  • Develop and deliver the annual and quarterly pricing and promotions strategy to support membership growth and commercial performance.
  • Analyse pricing performance, member behaviour and commercial data to identify opportunities for revenue optimisation.
  • Design, implement and evaluate pricing and promotional tests, using insight to continuously improve performance.
  • Build compelling business cases and commercial recommendations to support pricing and promotional decisions.
  • Manage the governance and approval process for pricing changes and promotional activity.
  • Monitor the successful implementation of pricing and promotions across all sales channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Deliver post-campaign analysis, measuring effectiveness, return on investment and future opportunities.
  • Maintain the central source of truth for all pricing, offers and promotional eligibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Digital and Club Operations to deliver successful commercial initiatives.
  • Produce regular commercial reporting, modelling and insight to support strategic decision making and business performance.
  • Contribute to the development of commercial processes, playbooks and best practice across the organisation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in pricing, promotions or commercial strategy, ideally within a consumer-facing business.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data to drive business decisions.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience using SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience in pricing optimisation, promotional analysis, segmentation and commercial modelling.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with excellent planning, project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.
  • Experience within a membership, leisure, hospitality or subscription-based business would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to work from the Virgin Active UK Head Office a minimum of three days per week, with occasional travel to clubs across the UK.
