At Virgin Active, our purpose is to change people’s lives for the better through wellness. We’re building exceptional Pilates experiences across our clubs and are looking for Comprehensive Pilates Instructors who are fully equipment-trained, member-focused and passionate about helping people move better and feel stronger.
In this role, you’ll:
- Deliver personalised 1:1 comprehensive Pilates sessions tailored to individual member goals and needs
- Lead small-equipment group Pilates classes that motivate and inspire members
- Deliver Virgin Active signature Pilates group classes to a high standard
- Design structured programmes that support progress, performance and long-term movement quality
- Identify movement limitations and integrate corrective strategies into training plans
- Build strong, long-term relationships with members to support retention and referrals
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging coaching
- Uphold Virgin Active brand standards through professionalism and leadership on the gym floor
- Collaborate with Product Managers and club teams to enhance the Pilates experience
- Support newer instructors and contribute to team development where appropriate
- Continuously develop your knowledge through internal and external learning opportunities
- Actively review performance and engage with feedback to grow your practice
Experience:
- Hold a recognised Comprehensive Pilates qualification covering all apparatus
- Ideally have experience working within a Comprehensive Pilates studio environment
- Hold a valid DBS check
- Hold public liability insurance
- Demonstrate the ability to coach clients safely and effectively to a high standard
- Be confident working independently and managing your own schedule
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be confident supporting members with different goals, abilities and learning styles
- Be organised and comfortable using booking systems and digital platforms
- Be flexible with working patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required
- Handle member feedback or concerns professionally and positively
