The Fitness Manager is responsible for working alongside other club management to ensure that the in-club product offering is fully synchronized and available to our members.

The Role

  • Owning all Product delivery in club through the PT, Gym Trainer and Group Exercise function.
  • Acting as an ambassador of Virgin Active at all times and consistently role-model the highest standards of behaviour to other employees.
  • Maintaining a positive, productive working relationship with other team members, being proactive, using your own initiative and taking ownership of situations.
  • Recruiting and training the industry’s best Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Instructors, supporting them with their personal development and class assessments, as well as the development through our internal Academy.
  • Delivering key in club and external Fitness events and experiences.
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the club and making appropriate recommendations regarding strategic and tactical approach.
  • Understanding KPIs and targets, and the importance of engaging new members into our fitness and group exercise programmes.
  • Fulfilling Duty Shifts when required, therefore having responsibility and accountability during the shift, controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.

Qualifications

You possess a REPS Level 3 or CIMSPA equivalent.
