We recruit Lifeguards to join our Club teams to ensure our members can use our pools and spa areas safely at all times.

As a Lifeguard your passion for swimming and love of great customer service will shine when supervising our members in the pool, as well as supporting the Operations team in keeping our clubs clean and tidy.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate a friendly, calm and approachable nature with the ability to act quickly and effectively at all times.
  • Ensure the utmost safety of our members in the pool and spa areas, taking responsibility for your own personal safety and that of others.
  • Consistently act in a safe manner, completing safety checks and recording them accurately.
  • Monitor water chemical levels and assist with water cleaning as appropriate.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas and adhere to the high standards of Virgin Active.
  • Be responsible for compliance with all mandatory training and health and safety.
  • Fulfill Duty Shifts when required, with responsibility and accountability during the shift, and assist in controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.

Qualifications

  • You do not currently hold a lifeguard qualification? No problem — we’ll provide you with training and you’ll receive a Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding over the course of 5 days.
