VIQU are currently working with an established software as a Service (SaaS) organisation who are undergoing a significant amount of international growth, and so are looking to strengthen their software support teams. Due to this, they are hiring a second line software Support Engineer to act as a technical escalation point, assisting customers with 2nd line technical issues on their cloud SaaS platform. Please note this is focused on fixing software issues rather than infrastructure and IT issues.

Job duties of the Software Support Analyst:

  • Provide second line software support to key customers.
  • Utilise SQL to support customers, rectify data issues and identify root causes.
  • Help to support patching, testing, software updates and cloning.
  • Troubleshoot issues with SQL Server and Azure.
  • Communicate with key customers within a timely manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, and document support investigations.

Experience required for the Software Support Analyst:

  • Previous experience within software or application support focused roles.
  • Hands on experience with SQL or similar databases, ability to write queries and ideally stored procedures (nice to have).
  • The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on learning and development.
