Are you an experienced Fortinet Network Security Engineer looking to join a rapidly growing consultancy delivering complex infrastructure and security projects? This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers, leading the design, implementation and support of enterprise-grade Fortinet environments for a diverse client base, including secure and highly regulated organisations.
As a Fortinet Network Security Engineer, you'll work on a mixture of remote and customer-site projects, taking ownership of solutions from design through to delivery while influencing technical decisions and supporting continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain Firewall policies, security profiles, VPNs (IPSec and SSL), SD-WAN and High Availability (HA) solutions.
- Monitor security events, investigate incidents and support root cause analysis.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and change records.
- Lead technical delivery on customer sites and provide guidance throughout project life cycles.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to improve network resilience, security and performance.
Proven experience as a Fortinet Network Security Engineer or similar network security position.
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, NAT, IDS/IPS and network security principles.
- Experience deploying SD-WAN and managing multi-site network environments.
- Ability to design and deliver network infrastructure projects from start to finish.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both network and security technologies.
- Experience with physical infrastructure as well as cloud networking.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune and MDM technologies would be beneficial.
- Experience with Proxmox, Azure or AWS would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK as required.
