VIQU is looking for a Junior SOC Analyst to join a growing cyber security organisation within its 24/7 Security Operations Centre. This is a great opportunity for a Cyber Security graduate or junior professional with some hands-on IT or security experience looking to develop within a SOC environment. You'll monitor and investigate security alerts, identify potential threats and escalate incidents where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage security alerts.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and cyber threats.
  • Review security logs and events.
  • Escalate incidents where appropriate.
  • Support incident investigation and response.

About You

  • Cyber Security degree, certification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Some hands-on IT, cyber security or SOC experience.
  • Good understanding of networking, DNS, IP addresses and Firewalls.
  • Knowledge of phishing, malware and common cyber threats.
  • Exposure to SIEM or security monitoring tools.
  • Sentinel, Defender or Splunk experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The role is mostly remote and operates on a 4 days on/4 days off rota with 12-hour shifts. Doncaster attendance is required when Tuesday or Wednesday falls within your rota, with travel and accommodation expenses covered where required.

Sponsorship is not available. Candidates must have unrestricted, long-term UK right to work. Graduate/PSW visa holders cannot be considered.
