VIQU has partnered with a top engineering company seeking a Lead Engineer on Protection and Control Systems to work on onsite control and protection systems. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills as well as leadership and communication with internal and external stakeholders. They will be responsible for the design and implementation of Protection Systems. This position requires days on-site in Stone, offering a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technically lead the team
  • Mentor the team
  • Support the Project Manager to identify programme schedule changes
  • Meet client expectations
  • Develop SLD, KLD Concept Level Designs
  • Perform site visits and non-intrusive surveys
  • Produce and review protection designs
  • Comply with National Grid standards
  • Provide feedback for Sales and Tendering teams

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working on Transmission and distribution systems: GE, Siemens, SEL or ABB
  • Be a strong leader and communicator
  • National Grid person (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of IEC61850
