VIQU have partnered with an established and growing Managed Service Provider to recruit a Business Development Manager. With a strong customer base across the legal, insurance and manufacturing sectors, the business delivers managed IT support, Microsoft solutions and cybersecurity services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced BDM to take ownership of new business development, build on an established proposition and play a key role in the continued growth of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
- Develop and execute a new business strategy to identify, engage and convert prospective customers
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline across target sectors
- Leverage existing networks and develop new relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify opportunities for managed IT support, Microsoft licensing and cybersecurity solutions
- Develop strategic relationships with prospective customers and understand their wider technology requirements
- Identify opportunities through networking, partnerships and relevant procurement channels
- Develop opportunities through government frameworks and public sector procurement routes
- Contribute to the wider commercial strategy and continued growth of the business
Key Requirements of the Business Development Manager:
- Proven experience in a Business Development or new business sales role within the IT, MSP, technology or telecommunications sector
- Demonstrable success in winning new business and consistently developing a sales pipeline
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of selling technology services to businesses
- Experience selling managed services, IT support, Microsoft solutions or cybersecurity would be advantageous
- Experience with government frameworks or public sector procurement would be a significant advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A self-motivated and commercially driven approach, with the ability to operate autonomously
- A consultative approach to sales, with a focus on developing long-term customer relationships
