VIQU has partnered with a leading Healthcare organisation in Wales to recruit a Lead Infrastructure Engineer on a fixed‑term basis. These roles sit within a high‑performing Digital Services team supporting critical healthcare services across cancer care and the Welsh Blood Service. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced infrastructure professionals to take a senior role within a secure, complex environment, driving operational stability and infrastructure improvement across a hybrid estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support across enterprise infrastructure services
  • Lead complex incident resolution and root cause analysis
  • Design, support and improve on‑premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and meet SLAs
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects from design through to delivery
  • Work closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver service improvements
  • Support continuous improvement and mentoring within the team
  • Participate in an on‑call rota as required

Key Requirements:

  • Senior IT Infrastructure experience in enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of on‑premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • Azure (via MSP), Windows Server, Hyper‑V/VMware
  • Veeam backup and recovery experience
  • Microsoft 365 (M365) administration
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience with ITIL or structured service environments
  • Understanding of security, compliance, and infrastructure life cycle management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
