We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator to join a busy infrastructure team.
This role has been created to provide additional support across a 3rd Line function that is balancing day-to-day operational support with a wide range of ongoing infrastructure and business projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong support background rather than a project management or consultancy focus.
The Role
You’ll become an integral part of the 3rd Line Infrastructure team, supporting both BAU operations and project-related requests across the business.
While you won’t be delivering projects directly, you’ll provide the technical expertise needed to support multiple initiatives including security, CRM, infrastructure, server migrations and end‑user computing.
The role offers a genuine mix of responsibilities, making it perfect for an engineer who enjoys getting involved in "a bit of everything."
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd Line infrastructure and technical support across the business.
- Support ongoing infrastructure and migration projects.
- Assist with Identity & Access Management (IAM) related activities.
- Support server and platform migrations, including legacy infrastructure and on-premise file servers.
- Maintain and support Windows Server environments.
- Support networking infrastructure including Fortinet and Cisco Meraki technologies.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365, including Intune rollouts.
- Administer and support Okta environments.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve technical requests generated through IT support and project activities.
- Operate within an ITIL-based support environment, participating in sprint-based work where required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a hands-on 3rd Line Infrastructure Support role.
- Strong Windows Server administration experience.
- Hyper-V administration knowledge.
- Experience supporting VMware environments.
- Networking experience with Fortinet and/or Cisco Meraki.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- Intune deployment and support experience.
- Okta administration experience.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, networking and end-user computing (EUC) environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working within an ITIL support framework.
