SC Cleared Deployment Engineer to join a busy IT team supporting a large-scale laptop deployment project within a secure environment.
The Deployment Engineer Role
The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying both new and refurbished laptops as part of a large device rollout.
The project involves issuing
#removed# laptops within a tight deployment window, making this a fast-paced and rewarding opportunity.
Alongside deployment activities, you will also provide hands‑on IT support to end users, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the deployment process.
- Deployment Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure and deploy new and refurbished laptops.
- Configure devices using
Windows Autopilot .
- Ensure all required software and applications are correctly installed.
- Reset and reconfigure returned devices ready for redeployment.
- Troubleshoot deployment and imaging issues.
- Provide desktop and IT support where required.
- Deliver professional, face‑to‑face IT support, providing excellent customer service and clear communication to end users.
- Follow up with users after deployments or support requests to ensure issues have been fully resolved and provide a high standard of aftercare.
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Deployment Engineer Essential Skills
- Active SC Clearance
(mandatory).
- Previous experience in laptop deployment, desktop support, or IT support.
- Experience with
Windows Autopilot .
- Strong Windows 10/11 build and configuration knowledge.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Outstanding face‑to‑face customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support users professionally and confidently.
