VIQU has partnered with a leading systems integrator in the nuclear sector to recruit a Site-Based Wireperson to join a long-term project on one of their sites. They are seeking an experienced E,C&I technician or Wireperson with strong panel wiring skills, to be successful in the role you must be comfortable working on-site in highly regulated nuclear environments and willing to travel to customer locations across the UK when required.

Key Responsibilities of the Site Based Wireperson:

  • Modify and wire control panels and marshalling cabinets using electrical schematics, including cable glanding, terminations, and panel modifications.
  • Update issue logs, red-line drawings, and liaise with site, design, or commissioning engineers to resolve issues.
  • Perform equipment builds, safety checks, wiring tests, insulation resistance tests, power-up checks, and other project-specific hardware tests.

Key Requirements of the Site Based Wireperson:

  • Experience of E, C & I installation and Control Panel wiring.
  • Must work well in a team.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, general assembly drawings, wiring schedules and parts lists.
  • Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites.
  • Full UK Driving License.
