Overview
My client, a leading finance organisation, requires a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the RTGS team responsible for a critical platform. This role involves joining a forward-thinking team supporting a critical system and aligning with current DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain and develop changes to the client's solution
- Collaborate with the solution team/designers on roadmaps and end-to-end capabilities
- Educate stakeholders on skills and knowledge needed across the domain and work with team leaders to develop a domain-wide training plan so the right skills are available to deliver new services
- Support and maintain the tool chain and wider estate
- Provide out-of-hours support in a 24/7 operational environment
Experience
- Strong experience supporting production systems (on-call)
- Proven experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift (on-premise)
- Full suite of DevOps tooling upgrades, issues and improvements
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
- Proven track record of building and improving automation-first DevOps environments
- Experience with observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Linux administration skills in a high-availability production environment
- Strong experience with incident management and service recovery
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps principles
