Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Windows Server & Hyper-V) - 6 Month Contract - London

VIQU are supporting an organisation in the search for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver several business-critical infrastructure transformation projects.

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in designing and deploying a new Hyper-V platform, rebuilding core Windows infrastructure, and enhancing Microsoft 365 hybrid services.

There will also be opportunities to contribute to disaster recovery, Share Point migration, security improvements, and wider infrastructure initiatives across the business.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy a new Hyper-V environment to support future infrastructure and service requirements.
  • Lead Windows Server rebuild and upgrade projects, including domain controllers, file servers and DFS services.
  • Support and enhance Active Directory, Entra ID and hybrid Microsoft 365 integrations.
  • Develop, test and document disaster recovery capabilities, including recovery playbooks, remediation actions and operational procedures.
  • Deliver Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 hybrid infrastructure improvements, ensuring a secure and resilient messaging environment.
  • Work with internal teams, MSPs and third-party suppliers to deliver infrastructure, networking and security projects across the estate.
  • Key Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, designing and implementing Hyper-V environments within enterprise infrastructure estates.
  • Strong Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and DFS.
  • Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange and identity integration.
  • Demonstrable experience planning, testing and documenting disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, networking and security principles.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects, producing technical documentation, implementation plans and operational handover materials.
