My client, a global legal organisation, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a newly formed IT Workplace Delivery team. The role will focus mainly on 3rd line BAU server support, with additional involvement in key projects such as on-premises to cloud migrations and office relocations.
Infrastructure Engineer Experience:
- Must have strong experience with Windows Server (2019/2022)
- Must have hands-on experience with VMware vSphere
- Strong knowledge of GPO, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with Dell server and storage hardware
- Understanding of UPS/PDU systems and LAN/WAN networking
- Experience supporting enterprise server environments
- Exposure to Azure and/or VMware Cloud Foundation
- Awareness of security best practices
- PowerShell scripting desirable but not essential
Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Windows Server environments (up to 2019 / 2022)
- Monitor, administer, and maintain servers within server and communications rooms
- Manage and support VMware vSphere 8 virtualised infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management
- Creating and maintaining procedural documentation
The successful Infrastructure Engineer must be willing to be onsite in London 2 days a week.
