VIQU have partnered with a leading enterprise organisation undergoing a large-scale Oracle Fusion Finance transformation. As part of this programme, we are seeking a Finance Systems Accountant to take ownership of designing and validating reconciliation processes across a complex integration landscape.
This role requires a qualified accountant with strong ERP experience, capable of operating at the intersection of Finance and Technology to ensure the integrity of financial data feeding into management and statutory reporting.
The Role:The successful Finance Systems Accountant will lead the design and implementation of reconciliation frameworks across Oracle Fusion and interfacing systems. You will analyse how accounting transactions flow through integrations and translate into financial balances, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and timely. This includes validating that newly developed integrations are functioning as designed and that outputs reconcile through to the general ledger and financial reporting. This is a hands-on, design-led role, requiring both strong accounting judgement and the ability to work closely with technical teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and document end-to-end reconciliation frameworks across Oracle Fusion and connected systems
- Reconcile accounting transactions and resulting balances between systems (System A → System B)
- Analyse integrations and data flows, understanding how transactions feed into management and statutory accounts
- Validate that integrations are functioning as designed, ensuring financial accuracy and completeness
- Build reconciliation prototypes (Excel / Google Sheets) to prove concepts before automation
- Translate reconciliation logic into clear, build-ready requirements for technology teams
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across transaction and balance-level data
- Provide ownership and leadership of the reconciliation approach across the programme
- Work closely with Finance, IT, and Programme teams to ensure alignment and delivery
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) - essential
- Strong experience within ERP / Finance transformation programmes (Oracle Fusion preferred)
- Proven experience designing reconciliation processes across multiple systems
- Deep understanding of accounting flows (transaction → GL → balances → reporting)
- Experience working with integrations, data flows, and financial controls
- Ability to bridge Finance and Technology teams effectively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and framework design capability
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused environment
Contract: 6 months initial (likely extension)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite (Midlands)
Rate: £600 - £650 per day
IR35 Status: Outside IR35 pending SDS
