We’re looking for a talented Application Engineer with a strong passion for user experience and a love of working with modern front-end frameworks. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on continuously improving how software is designed, built, and delivered. In this role, you’ll support a large-scale modernisation programme—building cloud-native applications, enhancing automation, and elevating how users experience technology across the business. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping the look, feel, and usability of applications, working across both new and existing platforms to evolve UI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements, system dependencies, and end-to-end workflows
- Contribute to application architecture, hosting standards, UX/UI patterns, and design frameworks
- Design and build APIs, integrations, orchestration components, data schemas, and user interfaces
- Write secure, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Maintain, enhance, and support applications, integrations, and services
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and system rationalisation
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with .NET/C#, SQL Server, React, and Python
- Hands-on experience with security patterns including OAuth, SAML, and RBAC
- Solid understanding of Azure cloud services
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
- Experience with Power Platform, SharePoint, or Visual Studio
- Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes
