VIQU is proud to be partnering with a well-established and innovative UK organisation to recruit an experienced and motivated IT Development Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented .NET developer with leadership experience to take on a pivotal role, guiding a development team and delivering high-impact business systems.
You will lead and mentor a team of developers, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of business-critical applications built on the .NET platform. This role will involve close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable solutions that meet the operational needs of a growing business. Integration with ERP systems such as Sage will be a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers
- Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from planning to release and support
- Design and maintain essential business systems using the .NET platform
- Utilise ASP.NET, C#, and modern front-end frameworks to deliver user-focused applications
- Maintain high standards in code quality, security, and documentation
- Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Implement and manage pipelines, testing frameworks, and debugging processes
- Coordinate timelines, allocate resources, and provide technical direction across projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with the .NET ecosystem
- Strong skills in ASP.NET, C#, MVC, and Web API
- Front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Demonstrable experience in leading or mentoring development teams
- Experience integrating or supporting Sage ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Background in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
