Infrastructure Engineer – 3 month contract – Northampton

My Customer is currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and support the core infrastructure operations.

This role is primarily focused on day-to-day support and BAU (Business as Usual) requests, with the potential to get involved in a variety of exciting infrastructure projects as they arise.

Key Responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Provide daily support across on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure environments
  • Respond to BAU requests, incidents, and service tickets in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform server administration and maintenance across Windows Server 2012–2022
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery when required
  • Document configurations, procedures, and best practices

Skills and Experience required from the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, Active Directory, and virtualisation (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and working in a structured support environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

The Infrastructure is required to be onsite, 3 days a week in Northampton
