In this role you will design and deliver robust data solutions for a financial services organisation undergoing a major data transformation. You will align solution data architecture with enterprise standards and collaborate with enterprise architects, data teams and business stakeholders to establish scalable data practices. Your work will cover data modelling, integration, governance and protection by design, enabling data-driven decision making across multiple projects. You will act as the data architecture adviser at the project level, shaping patterns and ensuring consistency with enterprise data strategies.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality solution data designs across multiple projects aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Develop and maintain solution data models and data dictionaries in line with canonical data models
- Contribute to data impact assessments and define data architecture guidance, standards and patterns
- Support data integration and canonical data exchange across strategic systems
- Ensure solution data designs align with data governance and Data Protection by Design principles
- Collaborate with enterprise data architects to develop robust and scalable data plans
- Act as the project-level data architecture contact for technical and business stakeholders
- Work with architects, analysts, project managers, platform owners and third-party suppliers to deliver data solutions
- Support continuous improvement of solution data architecture practices and approaches
Key requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Solution Data Architect
- Strong experience with data modelling, integration patterns and architectural design
- Hands-on experience with Erwin
- Strong understanding of data integration, database management, middleware and data protection principles
- Experience with enterprise data catalogue platforms, ideally Microsoft Purview
- Exposure to master and reference data management solutions such as Ataccama or Profisee would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of Microsoft stack (Azure, Databricks, Power BI)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
