A global firm is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to provide hands-on delivery to the server, network and infrastructure components of a series of upcoming office refurbishment, move and fitout projects across the globe.
Technical Experience of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Must have extensive experience in setting up Comms rooms / server rooms / Data Centres.
- Must have in-depth experience with Windows Server 2019 / 2022.
- Must have experience using VMware vSphere 8.
- Must have experience with Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Power Distribution Units (PDU).
- Strong working knowledge of DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN.
- Good working knowledge of Azure Active Directory including Group Policy.
- Good experience with Dell, Equitrac and HPE Zerto is desirable.
- Experience with Monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds and PRTG is advantageous.
Key responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer:
- This role will require travel across the globe. Expenses will be covered.
- Technical delivery of office moves projects to ensure that the services required are fully functional on day one.
- Delivery projects in line with agreed deadlines and quality standards.
- Problem solving effectively during the delivery phase of the projects.
- Deliver bespoke requirements to each comms and server room setup.
- Communicate with technical teams across the world, which may mean working irregular hours and travel when required during the delivery of the project.
- Occasional BAU activities will be required.
The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be commutable to Glasgow at least 2 days a week and must be flexible to travel to different locations around the world.
