This organisation delivers complex, safety-critical projects across power generation and wider utilities, combining deep technical expertise with long-term project delivery and stability.
This is a hands-on Lead role, combining technical delivery with team leadership. You’ll take ownership of electrical and control system designs, guide engineers through the full project lifecycle, and act as a key technical interface with customers and project stakeholders.

- Design and review PLC-based control panels, cabling systems, MCCs, drives, and switchgear
- Interpret customer specifications and develop compliant, fit-for-purpose solutions

- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, procedures, and project timelines
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in electrical and control systems within energy, utilities, or similar regulated environments
- Experience with PLC-based control systems and control panel design
- Solid understanding of field cabling systems, calculations, earthing, and protection
- Ability to lead technically, mentor others, and communicate confidently with clients
- Degree or HND (with relevant experience) in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required
Why apply?
- Genuine technical leadership role, not just a senior individual contributor
- Exposure to full project lifecycle work in complex energy environments
- Hybrid working and strong long-term career prospects
