Power BI Developer – 6-month contract – Fully Remote – Outside of IR35
My client is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to work independently on the development of financial reporting and dashboards, with support from the wider business and data teams.
The business has recently implemented a finance consolidation application within its AWS Data Factory environment and now requires a Power BI specialist to build reporting solutions from the underlying data.
Key Skills & Experience from the Power BI Developer
Strong commercial experience as a Power BI Developer.
MUST HAVE Proven experience developing financial reporting solutions in Power BI.
Strong understanding of P&L, financial consolidation and management reporting.
Strong DAX, Power Query and data modelling skills.
Experience working with databases and extracting data for reporting purposes.
Experience working with AWS data environments/Data Factory would be highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of Power BI development.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with Finance teams.
Power Apps experience would be advantageous, particularly experience working with Power Apps-based finance applications.
Key Responsibilities of the Power BI Developer
Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards focused on financial reporting.
Build reports using data and databases hosted within the AWS Data Factory environment.
Develop reporting around financial consolidation, P&L and management reporting.
Translate finance requirements into clear, accurate and user-friendly Power BI solutions.
Work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
Identify and extract the relevant data from the finance consolidation application and underlying databases.
Develop appropriate data models, Power Query transformations and DAX measures.
Ensure financial reports are accurate, consistent and provide meaningful insight.
Work independently, taking ownership of reporting requirements from initial discussions through to delivery.
The Power BI Developer can work fully remote, Outside of IR35.
