MORELA Business Change Manager AI Transformation Programme | Financial Services | London, Hybrid About the Client Morela is supporting a leading UK management consultancy with a strong Financial Services practice, known for delivering complex change and transformation programmes for regulators, banks and insurers. They pair senior business consulting with hands-on delivery, and work closely alongside their clients’ own teams rather than handing over a report and walking away. This engagement supports a major UK financial services regulator’s AI transformation programme. Having established its initial AI foundations, the programme is now scaling AI across the organisation, including building the technical foundations needed for an increasingly agentic operating model. The Role This is a 9-month contract, with the option to extend by a further 6 months, starting early to mid November 2026. The role sits Inside IR35, so you must be comfortable working under those arrangements. It is based in London on a hybrid basis, with 50% of your time in the office. As a senior Business Change Manager, you will lead the people change, adoption and implementation activity across key elements of the programme. You will own business readiness, stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption, making sure AI-enabled ways of working land properly and stick. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technology and product teams, and third-party suppliers. We are looking for someone with 8+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities • Lead the people change, adoption and implementation activity for key elements of the AI programme. • Develop change strategies, rollout approaches and adoption plans. • Lead business readiness so teams are prepared for AI-enabled ways of working. • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation. • Own communications, engagement and awareness activity throughout the change. • Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers. • Monitor adoption, identify risks and issues, and drive benefits realisation. Essential Requirements • Experience working within Financial Services, regulatory bodies or similarly complex regulated environments. • Significant experience, typically 8+ years, delivering business change or transformation in large, complex organisations. • Proven experience developing change strategies, rollout approaches and adoption plans. • Strong senior stakeholder engagement and influencing capability. • Experience leading business readiness and adoption for technology-enabled change. • Strong communications, engagement and awareness experience. • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers. • Ability to monitor adoption, identify risks and issues, and drive benefits realisation. • Strong understanding of recognised change management methodologies and techniques. • Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management capability. Desirable Experience • Regulated environment experience, ideally financial services, government or regulatory organisations. • Experience implementing or adopting AI, Generative AI and/or Agentic AI. • Experience with product-based technology teams and agile delivery. • Benefits management and measuring adoption and business value from transformation. • A relevant change qualification, such as Prosci, APMG Change Management or MSP. Working Environment You will work hybrid, spending half your time in the office in London and the rest remotely. You will be part of a consultancy team embedded in a high-profile regulatory programme, working directly with senior stakeholders as AI moves from foundations to everyday use across the organisation. It suits an experienced change leader who can bring people with them, and wants to lead adoption of agentic AI in a regulated setting
