A leading Manufacturing/Governmental organisation is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to play a key role in a major technology transformation programme. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture, design and delivery of a new hybrid cloud environment, comprising of on-premise networks and a Microsoft Azure cloud platform. You will own the solution from concept and design through to implementation, ensuring secure, scalable and compliant architectures are delivered across the organisation.
Key Skills required from the Solutions Architect:
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong Azure architecture and cloud transformation experience.
- Experience designing and delivering hybrid cloud solutions.
- Broad infrastructure knowledge including networking, storage, security and enterprise applications.
- Government or other highly regulated environments would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of governmental/highly regulated security standards and secure-by-design principles would be beneficial.
- Enterprise application and ERP architecture experience would be beneficial.
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:
- Lead the architecture and design of a secure hybrid cloud environment across Azure and on-premise networks.
- Cloud Network design.
- Produce high and low-level solution designs and provide architectural governance throughout delivery.
- Design enterprise infrastructure solutions covering cloud, compute, storage, networking and security.
- Support cloud migration and application transformation initiatives.
- Define automation and Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform.
- Ensure solutions align with security, compliance and operational requirements.
- Act as the technical authority throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to implementation.
The Solutions Architect is required to work onsite 2 days a week in Fareham.
