This is a hands-on role working across multiple hospital sites, installing and maintaining structured cabling and wireless infrastructure. You’ll be part of a team environment (no lone working), contributing to essential connectivity projects in live environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install and terminate structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) including outlets and patch panels
- Test cabling using Fluke DTX 5000 (or equivalent)
- Install wireless access points across hospital sites
- Record and document all installations and test results
- Support fibre cabling work when required
- Work in line with CSCS/ESC standards and site safety regulations
- 3+ years’ experience in data cabling installation and testing
- Strong experience with structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
- Fluke testing experience (DTX 5000 or similar)
- CSCS or ESC card
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in or around Birmingham
- Comfortable working in live environments (e.g. hospitals)
- Fibre experience beneficial
