VIQU have partnered with a leading industrial systems integrator at the forefront of digital transformation in energy, renewables, water and manufacturing. This is a permanent role for a Lead Engineer with SME-level knowledge across Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Network infrastructure—supporting critical OT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure OT systems involving Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Virtualisation (VMWare or Hyper-V) and Network infrastructure.
- Define system architectures, hardware specs, and network topologies for project delivery.
- Act as a subject matter expert during pre-sales, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Switch/Firewall config—preferably in OT or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with network design (RSTP, PRP, HSR) and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, etc.).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.
Bonus Experience:
- SCADA platform knowledge (COPA-DATA Zenon, Siemens WinCC, PCS7, etc.).
- PLC programming (IEC 61131 languages, Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).
- Experience with simulation tools (SIMIT, WinMOD) or software-defined networks.
